Prezados camaradas do Partido Progressista do Povo Trabalhador do Chipre (AKEL):

O Partido Comunista Brasileiro – PCB – saúda com júbilo revolucionário e camaradagem internacionalista o centenário de fundação do Partido Comunista do Chipre, do qual o Akel assume o legado.

O PCB acompanha com vivo interesse a luta do AKEL pela paz, pelo fim da ocupação turca do setor turco-cipriota, contra o belicismo, pelo fim da OTAN e pela paz.

Compartilhamos com os camaradas do AKEL o alerta frente ao crescimento mundial da extrema-direita e de quanto o neofascismo é hoje um produto da profunda crise do sistema capitalista e das políticas neoliberais de direita.

Saudamos a grande contribuição que camaradas do AKEL, especialmente por meio da Federação Pancipriana do Trabalho (PEO), têm dado para a construção e fortalecimento da Federação Sindical Mundial (FSM).

Aproveitando a oportunidade, o PCB reitera seu interesse e disposição em aprofundar os laços de camaradagem, troca de experiências e busca de ações conjuntas com vosso Partido e demais Partidos irmãos, sempre fiéis à concepção de respeito mútuo e não ingerência nos assuntos internos dos Partidos irmãos.

PCB SALUTES THE CENTENARY OF THE FOUNDATION OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF CYPRUS - AKEL!

Dear comrades of the Progressive Party of the Working People of Cyprus (AKEL):

The Brazilian Communist Party – PCB – salutes with revolutionary jubilation and internationalist comradeliness the centenary of the foundation of the Communist Party of Cyprus, whose legacy AKEL carries forward.

The PCB follows with keen interest the struggle of AKEL for peace, for an end to the Turkish occupation of the Turkish-Cypriot sector, against warmongering, for an end to NATO, and for peace. We share with the comrades of AKEL the warning about the global rise of the far-right and the extent to which neofascism today is a product of the deep crisis of the capitalist system and of right-wing neoliberal policies.

We salute the great contribution that comrades of AKEL, especially through the Pancyprian Federation of Labour (PEO), have given to the building and strengthening of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU).

Taking this opportunity, the PCB reiterates its interest and willingness to deepen the bonds of comradeliness, exchange of experiences, and pursuit of joint actions with your Party and other sister Parties, always faithful to the conception of mutual respect and noninterference in the internal affairs of sister Parties.
